The DSR heat exchanger comprises several sets of DSR tube bundles connected in series and divided into multiple independent temperature and mixing zones. It forces the original parabolic flow pattern to change into plug flow, achieving a uniform residence time distribution.

The densely distributed, high heat transfer surface area of the DSR provides reliable heat dissipation and fluid temperature control, resulting in optimal process control. Due to its excellent control over fluid temperature and concentration, the DSR heat exchanger is also highly suitable as a reactor for polymers.
